I’ve been watching the political campaign ads and they all seem to contradict themselves. I have specific issues that I want to see get fixed but I cant make sense of the information enough to figure out which party to vote for.

Here are the issues I do and do not believe in.

I don’t believe in abortion. Abortion doesn’t make you un-pregnant, it
makes you the mother of a dead baby.
I don’t believe in cloning, if we were meant to have multiples of
ourselves we would be born as twins.
I’m undecided about stem cell research
I believe we need affordable health care
I believe we need to provide more services and aid to our veterans
I believe we need to secure our border and not allow illegal immigrants
to stay in our country.
I believe we need to stop out-sourcing our jobs to foreign countries.
I believe we need to create stricter gun control laws and harsher
punishments for those who do not follow them.
I believe we need to find a cleaner source of energy.
I believe we need to bring our troops home from the war.
I believe we need to fix the housing market, help those facing
foreclosures and stop building new houses that no one can afford to
buy because they just sit there empty.

Study: Immigrants vital to economy even amid budget crisis

Immigrants — legal and illegal — have come under fire lately, blamed for California’s $42 billion deficit.

Some anti-illegal immigration groups estimate that immigrants — both legal and illegal — cost the state an estimated $18 billion a year. The figure is calculated from the taxes immigrants pay minus the costs for services, they say.

In response, The Immigration Policy Center, a Washington D.C.-based pro-immigration think tank, has issued a report filled with statistics, stating that immigrants are vital to the state’s economy.

California’s immigrants move up the socioeconomic ladder over time — learning English, buying homes and escaping poverty, according to a report the center released Thursday.

Some statistics from the Immigration Policy Center study:

* The 2008 purchasing power of California’s Latinos was $249 billion and $162.8 billion for Asians, the highest of any state in the nation.

* Immigrants in California pay roughly $30 billion in federal taxes, $5.2 billion in state income taxes, and $4.6 billion in sales taxes each year.

* The average immigrant-headed household contributes a net $2,679 annually to Social Security, which is $539 more than the average US-born household.

I got behind due to the lack of money and stuff. I have a child that come first. Well, anyway, my mother was a co-signer on my loan (I gave her some of the money to help her out on her bills too - long story). The car is in my name, but the place I have the loan through has the title to my car as collateral. So, now I believe they are just going to come and repo my car. How will this affect my mother? I mean will they go after her first or can I just let them have my car? She knows of the situation and does not want me to get my car repossessed, but I have no choice because I don’t have the money to pay on the loan for awhile. I even may have to file bankruptcy due to my medical bills that were not covered by insurance. They are that bad. I was trying to keep up with all payments but some of them will not accept payments and continually harrass me and tell me that my payments (doctor bills) are not good enough.

The problem is I cannot go to court. My medical issues prevent me from doing so. Stressful situations make my blood pressure sky rocket and @ age 23 Ive already had 2 strokes because of it.

Now on the paper it says either I or my attorney has to be @ court on the date,. I do not have an attorney and cant afford one either.

If I do not show up, it says a default judgement may be entered against me.

Will I go to jail if I do not go to the court date? Im unemployed and dont have any money coming in other than from my husbands job. I plan on filing bankruptcy over all my outstanding bills this summer.
Yes. We are currently looking for bankruptcy lawyers. We just wont have the money to go through with it until this summer'>When I got home today, There were papers on my door.
I checked the healthcare rankings and awknowledged a couple of things that came to my attention. The ones that are ranked ahead of ours either have no funded army, currently not in a war, and easier to maintain people because it’s a smaller country. So in my opinion it is somewhat irrelevant to our situation. And the ones that have a lower ranking either are poor countries, have governmental issues, in a war, or all of the above.

How can you solve problems by spending more money? If we spend more for this reform, which we already know it is a socialist provider, costs too much at the moment. Which means we are going to have to tax everyone because it is too expensive and our country will go further down in debt not bankruptcy, because we are already well below bankrupt. But bow down to the current administration and follow whatever they ask, which leads to socialism (i.e. communism) because we have no other choice, but to follow whatever they want us to do, either it be pay for a single payer healthcare because we know that people who cant afford private anymore will go to a public option and then private healthcare will go out of business, unless they give out tax breaks, which I doubt. Just like Private universities give out grants and scholarships, to make this work we need tax breaks.

This also will affect the healthcare profession vastly because 40 million new patients and no new doctors? This will lead to longer lines, the demeanor from your docors will go down as well as the quality because of more work with the likelyhood of less time to finish all the patients. This is not including the freeloaders. Cmon now education cost too much to become a physician, surgeon etc… College students who go for that profession are already in debt after their studies so the result of a increase in doctors won’t happen, when americans have less money with the increase of taxes.

I just heard that obama plans on extending the school year out because our education isn’t satisfactory. This will result in a increase in taxes year out. That is ridiculous. Furthermore, that is not the problem, because we have what 2 and a half months of summer vacation? What he want to decrease Christmas vacation as well? What he really needs to do is focus on getting quality teachers, better curriculum, and more funding for more school supplies. You are already brain dead after 8 hours of class. So 10 to 11 hours of class won’t do any good.

How about the texting problem we have in America. That is a problem indeed. But going on about banning all phones from cars? People are still going to do it anyways… They just want to ticket more people and get more money out of the American peoples pocket. Might as well ban all drive thru’s because you don’t have your complete attention on the road when you are eating while you drive.

Lie #1: President Obama wants to euthanize your grandma!!!

The truth: These accusations—of “death panels” and forced euthanasia—are, of course, flatly untrue. As an article from the Associated Press puts it: “No ‘death panel’ in health care bill.”4 What’s the real deal? Reform legislation includes a provision, supported by the AARP, to offer senior citizens access to a professional medical counselor who will provide them with information on preparing a living will and other issues facing older Americans.5

Lie #2: Democrats are going to outlaw private insurance and force you into a government plan!!!

The truth: With reform, choices will increase, not decrease. Obama’s reform plans will create a health insurance exchange, a one-stop shopping marketplace for affordable, high-quality insurance options.6 Included in the exchange is the public health insurance option—a nationwide plan with a broad network of providers—that will operate alongside private insurance companies, injecting competition into the market to drive quality up and costs down.7

If you’re happy with your coverage and doctors, you can keep them.8 But the new public plan will expand choices to millions of businesses or individuals who choose to opt into it, including many who simply can’t afford health care now.

Lie #3: President Obama wants to implement Soviet-style rationing!!!

The truth: Health care reform will expand access to high-quality health insurance, and give individuals, families, and businesses more choices for coverage. Right now, big corporations decide whether to give you coverage, what doctors you get to see, and whether a particular procedure or medicine is covered—that is rationed care. And a big part of reform is to stop that.

Health care reform will do away with some of the most nefarious aspects of this rationing: discrimination for pre-existing conditions, insurers that cancel coverage when you get sick, gender discrimination, and lifetime and yearly limits on coverage.9 And outside of that, as noted above, reform will increase insurance options, not force anyone into a rationed situation.

Lie #4: Obama is secretly plotting to cut senior citizens’ Medicare benefits!!!

The truth: Health care reform plans will not reduce Medicare benefits.10 Reform includes savings from Medicare that are unrelated to patient care—in fact, the savings comes from cutting billions of dollars in overpayments to insurance companies and eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse.11

Lie #5: Obama’s health care plan will bankrupt America!!!

The truth: We need health care reform now in order to prevent bankruptcy—to control spiraling costs that affect individuals, families, small businesses, and the American economy.

Right now, we spend more than $2 trillion dollars a year on health care.12 The average family premium is projected to rise to over $22,000 in the next decade13—and each year, nearly a million people face bankruptcy because of medical expenses.14 Reform, with an affordable, high-quality public option that can spur competition, is necessary to bring down skyrocketing costs. Also, President Obama’s reform plans would be fully paid for over 10 years and not add a penny to the deficit.15

We’re closer to real health care reform than we’ve ever been—and the next few weeks will decide whether it happens. We need to make sure the truth about health care reform is spread far and wide to combat right wing lies.
These are facts, you should check on them if you don’t believe them. I guess you’d feel better if he really was tryna kill your granny. Too bad Bush allowed the insurance costs and/or inability to pay killed mine!
TX Happy Horn, just from your name, I don’t expect for you to understand what is going on. You all are brainwashed from birth in TX. LMAO!'>Top Five Health Care Reform Lies—and How to Fight Back

Is it because their party are millions of pounds in debt due to bad management of finances and falling support?

Well we ended up getting the loan but have since had some financial trouble which will require us to file for Chapter 7 bankrupcty and now I’m worried about the consequences of providing that false information during the application process.

Will that come back to bite me? Is this going to be an issue during the bankruptcy process? Will the Bankrupcy Trustee take a closer look into this? Is there a potential for me to get into trouble for this? If there is, what kind of trouble?

Or will the Bankruptcy Trustee not even notice or care?

Thanks in advance everybody.'>A couple of years ago, I bought a home and the mortgage broker I used filled out false information on the loan application.
Eddy T asked:

The US government bailed watch dog said that the US bailout spur risk.
The report aimed 1) To preserve home ownership and poverty, jobs and unemployment. To increase financing for US business and consumers, but lending is actually decreased.
I would explore further; Banks used the TARP money to restructured and reform their non performing mortgage and overdraft and loan customers. To prevent them from being homeless and applying foe bankruptcy protection. When they had rehabilitated their borrowings banks can write back their bad debt loans provisions into profits. This accounts for their huge profit in the current year and their ability to repay the TARP money back to the government in such a short time.
If banks are to start their lending business again, they need to recapitalised their balance sheet. This they can do by selling right issues to their shareholders and foreign investors, fundrisings and even some good governance banks did, defer their bonuses of the senior executives for three years.
TARP is a Trouble Asset Relief Program, a bailed out program or a loan to banks, certainly do not make the government as a preferred shareholder as some thought. Those banks are responsible banks they pay back the TARP money lent to them before awarding themselves with bonuses..
TARP had help banks to become performing again. Obama administration now wants to convince investors that they have a credible plan to control US deficit and debt. And continue to create job. I hope the government, the fed.and regulators acts as a catalyst and guide Allow banks their desired lending guidelines ,size and their desired corporate culture. The commercial freedom and to do their business profitable.
Yahoo answer team, please delete my question on the expiry time. Thank you.
